In the many, many advances we've made in the world of fursuits and costuming, can someone tell me why there hasn't been a single person who can make a realistic, non-corny looking, MOVING centaur costume? We have realistic faun costumes, realistic mermaid tails, realistic unicorn horns, realistic digitigrade hoof boots and paws, several people have even made angel, demon, and fairy wings that open and close on command.
I've seen realistic dinosaur costumes...that ROAR and swing their tales...all operated by a single person.
Maybe I'm just tired of seeing people dragging the back end of a some poor giant stuffed horse around, strapped to their rear ends. There is this one guy that has managed to rig a centaur costume with a system of pulleys attached to the front legs, which does effectively simulate the walking motion of a horse...but it's been like four years since I've seen anything from him.
I get that it's probably an extremely time consuming and expensive project, but there has to be someone out there that's figured it out by now.
It's the age of the geek, where the heck are all the mind blowing centaur costumes? Am I the only person to notice this?
